PVA 098-60 & 2499 is a type of High viscosity and Full Hydrolyzed Polyvinyl Alcohol. It’s widely utilized across industries requiring high-performance, water-soluble polymers with reliable mechanical and chemical properties. It is a water-soluble synthetic polymer derived from the hydrolysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is characterized by its high degree of hydrolysis (approximately 99 mole%) and specific polymerization degree, which contribute to its excellent film-forming, adhesive and emulsifying properties.
Key Characteristics
Appearance: White granular or powdery solid.
Solubility: Readily dissolves in hot water (85–95°C) but exhibits limited solubility in cold water.
Viscosity: high viscosity in aqueous solutions, depending on concentration and temperature.
Stability: Chemically stable, non-toxic, and biodegradable under specific conditions.
