Polyvinyl Alcohol Foam (PVA Foam)
ANHUI LIWEI CHEMICAL CO.,LIMITED
[Introduction]
While PVA becomes extremely pliable when wet, creating an ultra-soft, lint-free, and non-abrasive product, PVA foam is extremely durable and wear-resistant. It can last up to six times longer than non-PVA foam products. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) foam has high tensile strength for tunneling and undercutting. Its higher density limits ingrowth of granulation tissue, making dressing changes more comfortable.

Applications and Benefits of PVA Foam:
Medical Applications—Including Professional Medical Wound Treatment Products Cosmetic Industry—Including Exfoliating and Makeup Removal Sponges Cleaning Accessories—Household Sponges, Mops, and Bathroom Wipes Automotive Industry—Including Car Cleaning and Waxing Sponges Because PVA is a unique foam, its handling and processing methods differ from those of more widely used PU and PE foams. When wet, PVA foam is soft, flexible, and highly absorbent, absorbing moisture and bacteria. It hardens upon drying, making dressings easy to remove and providing an optimal healing environment. The versatility of PVA foam contributes to its widespread application. Available in a variety of porosity and colors, PVA foam can meet the needs of a wide range of domestic or professional projects. Key properties include durability, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance. PVA foam is also colorfast and UV-resistant. PVA foam can be machine washed up to 70°C (158°F) without deforming, giving it an extremely long lifespan. It is also reusable, making it highly cost-effective. PVA foam is also biodegradable, minimizing the material's environmental impact.
