Overview

Sipchem’s Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate is a solid copolymer produced from Ethylene and Vinyl Acetate. Our EVA resins, with their high clarity and low temperature sealing properties, are used in a wide range of consumer and industrial applications. In packaging, it is used to produce a wide range of films including those for direct food contact and greenhouse applications. Our EVA copolymers are used in hot-melt adhesives, wire and cable insulations, and solar cell encapsulants. Sipchem’s EVA resins are also used as padding in sports equipment and a broad range of leisure footwear as shock absorbers due to their flexibility and excellent toughness.

Sipchem EVA 2518	Sipchem EVA 2518, produced by Sipchem, is a soft, cross-linkable, transparent, and flexible ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer produced using ExxonMobil's high-pressure tubular process. It contains 18.2% vinyl acetate. This material exhibits high elasticity, good permeability, high density, a low melting point, excellent processability and mechanical properties, and high tear resistance. It also exhibits high polarity, good environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR), good gloss, low-temperature toughness, and a low autoignition temperature (SIT). It can be processed by injection molding and profile extrusion. Sipchem EVA 2518 is recommended for foams, shoe soles, and composites.
Sipchem EVA 3522	Sipchem's Sipchem EVA 3522 is a soft, cross-linkable, transparent, and flexible ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer produced using ExxonMobil's high-pressure tubular process with a 22% vinyl acetate content. It exhibits high elasticity, good permeability, high density, and tear resistance. It also has high polarity, good environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR), good gloss, low-temperature toughness, and a low auto-ignition temperature (SIT). Films made with EVA 3522 exhibit excellent heat sealability and superior strength. It is insoluble in water and slightly soluble in hydrocarbon solvents. It can be processed by cast and stretch film extrusion and lamination. Sipchem EVA 3522 is recommended for film applications. It complies with CLP Regulation 1272/2008/EC, REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, and GHS.
