[Introduction]

VINNAPAS 240 HD is a general-purpose high-density redispersible polymer powder (RDP) for dry mix mortars, specifically engineered to deliver enhanced cohesion and reliable performance in conventional construction. Based on a vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) copolymer formulation, it provides strong bonding strength, good workability and long-term durability, effectively optimizing mortar mechanical properties and application performance. This product is widely suitable for standard dry mix mortars, meeting the comprehensive requirements of general building projects.

• VINNAPAS 240 HD is a VAE-based redispersible polymer powder (RDP) and is dispersible in water.

• Mortars modified with VINNAPAS 240 HD exhibit improved adhesion, cohesion, wear resistance and processability, with consistent mechanical properties. Key rheological properties such as water retention are essentially unaffected.

[Storage]

During storage, protect the product from contact with moisture. Prolonged storage at temperatures above 30 °C, especially in combination with pressure, humidity or exposure to sunlight, may result in blocking. Carefully seal any open containers and store them under suitable conditions. We recommend storing the product in a warehouse that provides cool and dry conditions. Do not store the product for more than six months, starting from the date at which it was received, unless the Certificate of Analysis contains a different date, which would take precedence. If the product is stored longer than recommended, it may still be used but users are advised to verify the properties required for the intended use.

HD Series (Polymer Dispersions, Non-RPD, Suitable for Liquid Building Materials)

This series belongs to the Wacker VINNAPAS® brand of styrene-acrylate copolymer aqueous dispersions. It is in liquid dispersion form, not powder, and its core advantages are high water resistance and excellent adhesion, maintaining stable performance even in humid environments. It is primarily used in the formulation of liquid or paste-like building materials.

Key Characteristics: Approximately 50% solids content, low film-forming temperature, no need for additional film-forming aids, and free of free ammonia. It is highly compatible with conventional pigments and fillers by adjusting the pH value, enabling the formulation of building products that meet environmental labeling requirements.

Typical Products and Applications: Typical products include VINNAPAS® 240 HD, VINNAPAS® 224 HD suitable for readily available tile adhesives, one-component dispersion-type waterproof membranes, and architectural primers. For example, when used in the formulation of waterproof membranes, its strong water resistance prevents moisture penetration; when used in tile adhesives, it ensures strong adhesion of tiles even in humid environments.
