For thermoplastic PVA, recycling streams still lag behind those for PET or HDPE, slowing upcycling rates. Municipalities and companies looking to make the most of thermoplastic scraps can partner with specialist recyclers, or set up in-house mechanical reprocessing lines. In some regions, companies have launched closed-loop programs, collecting used thermoplastic PVA items from customers for direct pelletizing and reuse.
