[Introduction]
VINNAPAS® 5549 H is a highly hydrophobic premium-grade redispersible polymer powder (RDP), specifically designed for water-proof related mortars. Based on a flexible copolymer of vinyl acetate and ethylene, it not only provides basic adhesion and flexibility to mortars but also imparts significant hydrophobicity to hardened mortars. Meanwhile, it improves mortar workability and wear resistance without affecting rheological properties, making it particularly suitable for high water-proof demand scenarios such as rigid waterproof mortars, external thermal insulation rendering mortars and finishing mortars.
• VINNAPAS® 5549 H is a flexible copolymer-based redispersible polymer powder (RDP) of vinyl acetate and ethylene, and is dispersible in water.
• Mortars modified with VINNAPAS® 5549 H exhibit enhanced water repellency, adhesion, flexibility, workability and wear resistance, with stable mechanical properties. Rheological properties are essentially unaffected.
• The product is ideal for use in combination with other mortar additives to optimize performance of high-demand waterproof mortar systems.

[Storage]
During storage, protect the product from contact with moisture. Prolonged storage at temperatures above 30 °C, especially in combination with pressure, humidity or exposure to sunlight, may result in blocking. Carefully seal any open containers and store them under suitable conditions. We recommend storing the product in a warehouse that provides cool and dry conditions. Do not store the product for more than six months, starting from the date at which it was received, unless the Certificate of Analysis contains a different date, which would take precedence. If the product is stored longer than recommended, it may still be used but users are advised to verify the properties required for the intended use.
H Series
This is a special series focusing on strong water-repellent properties. Adding it significantly reduces the water absorption rate of mortar while maintaining adhesion and flexibility, making it particularly suitable for building applications requiring waterproofing.
A typical product is VINNAPAS 400 H, VINNAPAS 7031,VINNAPAS 8031 H,VINNAPAS 8034 H,VINNAPAS 5549 H, a flexible copolymer powder that can be used in waterproof mortars, exterior wall insulation system plastering mortars, mineral decorative mortars, etc. After film formation, it imparts long-lasting water resistance to the mortar without affecting its water vapor permeability.
VINNAPAS® 8031 H is another representative water-repellent product in this series, commonly used in exterior wall mortars and waterproof putties to enhance the material's ability to resist outdoor damp environments.
